before summer break...

we had a crazy thunderstorm/hail storm with a tornado that struck (apparently) down the street...
there was hail the size of golf balls. here is proof.

so....walmart definitely won me over with this commercial. so cleverly adorable. i remember lots of nights putting bows in my sleeping grandpa's hair, but wasn't smart enough for this.

i am so behind. which is strange because i feel like i've written in this blog a lot. 22 times already this year. complete record for me. HOWEVER i still haven't even put up all my pics from Europe yet! which was 4 months ago! total failure. on the upside, school's out for the summer and i'm amazingly free. here are some pics from the last few month's of fun things we've done....

so it's been decided for a while now that we are going to get a dog. well, we think we are. it seems like since day 1 everything is thwarting our efforts. basically it all started when Anson found the perfect dog - a maltipoo. since that fateful day we've been obsessed and really want one. first - we found the right dog, set up a meeting with the owner and wham - i got hired on as a full-time teacher (definitely NOT complaining. i L.O.V.E. my job. seriously.) now we have the time (summers off baby!!) and i can't find one for the life of me! this probably wouldn't be a problem except we are looking for a very specific kind of dog and we refuse to pay the insane breeders expensive asking price ($1500 for a dog? waaayyyy too expensive. how can you feel remotely humane asking so much for a puppy when dogs are put to sleep everyday at the animal shelters? and sold for much less? awful). anyways, here is your charge - if you happen to find one of these precious maltipoos for a reasonable price, TELL ME. please and thank you :)
