found this gem on the radio the other day and instantly fell in love. the whole time, silly literary freak that i am, i kept thinking of tennyson's poem "lady of shallot." the imagery totally fits. flowers, death, boats, life cut short. i saw the music video the other day and guess what? it WAS referencing the poem. i LOVE smart musicians. someday when i take the time to write more songs on my guitar, i'll use allusions too. and be famous. for now - enjoy.
